Patient Perspective: Rose's Wrist Fracture Success Story
August 8th, 2016 2:54pm
The best part of our job as orthopaedic professionals is hearing the success stories of our patients and knowing that we've made a positive impact on their lives. It's great to hear compliments and positive feedback, but every once in a while, we'll meet a patient who wants to share her story not just with us, but with our community as well.
Rose is one of those patients. Rose came to us in need of treatment for a distal radius fracture after a hard fall on her wrist. Her story is unique, because this is not the first time Rose has been to Excelsior to treat a broken wrist.
She first met us years ago after breaking her left wrist and enjoyed her experience enough to return this year when she broke her right one. What Rose didn't know at the time was that Excelsior is now working with new fracture implants from Conventus Orthopaedics that radically change the way patients heal and recover from fractures.
The new implant, called the Cage, is cutting down recovery times, and allowing for better patient outcomes than we've seen with other methods in the past. Rose elected to undergo this surgery and could not be happier with the results. She tells us her full story in the video below.
Thanks, Rose, for sharing your story with us! For more information on this new wrist fracture treatment, check out the resources below:
