As leaders in orthopaedic innovations, Excelsior Medical Campus houses western New York's only on-site orthopaedic surgery center. This surgical area has three ambulatory surgical suites constructed to New York State Standards of Construction for Diagnostic Treatment Centers of the State Hospital Code.

Buffalo Surgery Center's three operating room surgical area is designed for various types of surgery. The operating rooms are equipped for arthroscopic surgery cases, with two flat panel monitors in the operating room area, and the operating rooms accommodate many hand, foot, and extremity surgeries. The surgical suites are fully equipped operating rooms capable of accommodating many orthopaedic cases in a single day. They also have state-of-the-art arthroscopic equipment, and the group is an investigational site for developing, testing, and improving surgical equipment. The surgical facility also includes a fully equipped recovery room and rooms for cleaning and sterilizing equipment.
