Dr. John Joseph Callahan

Education
A native of Buffalo, Dr. Callahan graduated from the University of Notre Dame with honors. He received his medical degree at SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse, did his postgraduate internship and residency at Boston University Affiliated Hospitals and Boston University, and completed a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at the University of California San Diego. He returned to Buffalo in 1993 and began private practice at Southtowns Orthopaedics. Dr. Callahan is a past president of the Western New York Orthopaedic Society. He has published research in Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research and Journal of Hand Surgery.

Dr. Timothy J Collard
Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon
Education
Dr. Timothy J. Collard is a graduate of St. Vincent College and Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. He interned at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, and after serving two years with the U.S. Army as a Medical Officer he then returned to his hometown of Buffalo for a residency at the University at Buffalo Orthopedics Program. In 1975, after completing rotations at Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo Children's Hospital, and Veteran's Administration Hospital, Dr. Collard joined Western New York Orthopedic Group, P.C.
Community Leadership
Dr. Collard has in the past been President of Western New York Independent Practice Association, Medical Director at Athleticare Sports Injury Clinic, and a member of the Board of Trustees at Kenmore Mercy Hospital, where he is on its medical staff. Previously, he was the Chief of Orthopedics at Sisters Hospital. He has been an Instructor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University at Buffalo. He has been a member of the Bishop's Lay Committee and the Board of Trustees for St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute.

A graduate of the University of Rochester, Dr. Daye completed medical school and residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She has been in private practice at Excelsior Orthopaedics since 2000, with a special interest in sports medicine.

Dr. John P. Hurley, D.P.M.
Board-Certified in Podiatric Surgery
Dr. Hurley graduated from Canisius College and from Ohio's College of Podiatric Medicine, and completed his residency at the Atlanta Hospital and Regional Diabetes Center. His experience includes research in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers. He has been working in private practice since 1990.

Dr. Desirae McKee
Dr. McKee has completed a combined Plastics/Orthopedics Hand Surgery Fellowship at the University of Virginia Health System. She did her undergraduate work at Moorehead State University in Minnesota with a degree in Psychology. Dr. McKee also has a Masters in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of South Dakota.
Dr. McKee completed her Medical Degree at the University of South Dakota in 2001. She finished her Surgery Residency at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix Arizona, a 555-bed acute care hospital located near downtown Phoenix.
Desirae McKee, MD comes to Excelsior Orthopaedics with a strong background in hand/upper extremity surgery, including microscopic techniques and burn care.

Dr. Mark S. Mieth
Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr. Mieth is a graduate of Cornell University and the Georgetown University School of Medicine, followed by a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery, Albany Medical Center. Dr. Andrew C. Stoeckl

A graduate of Canisius High School, Boston College and the University at Buffalo Medical School, Dr. Stoeckl joined Excelsior Orthopaedics just after finishing a one-year Harvard Sports Medicine Fellowship, where he received advanced training in knee, shoulder, foot, and ankle injuries with an emphasis on minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures. His area of specialization is sports medicine.
