Vern Gambetta to do Weekend Seminar at Excelsior |

Excelsior Physical and Occupational Therapy, is pleased to announce that Vern Gambetta of Gambetta Sports Training Systems and the GAIN Network is visiting Excelsior Physical and Occupational Therapy from Saturday through Sunday, March 29-30, 2008 to host the “Following the Functional Path to Build and Rebuild THE COMPLETE ATHLETE” Seminar.
Excelsior Orthopedics is affiliated with Vern Gambetta in the GAIN Network (Gambetta Athletic Enhancement Network). The GAIN Network works with selected Physical Therapy groups across the country to educate and collaborate on the latest sports training methods. Excelsior Orthopedics has teamed up with Vern Gambetta as an affiliate of the Gambetta Athletic Improvement Network (GAIN Network). We have created Excelsior Sports Training – a sports training facility in Western New York. This concept was developed using a Medical Model – the same medical model for sports training used by professional football, basketball, hockey, soccer teams, etc. The Medical Model for Sports Training uses the techniques of functional sports training in conjunction with a full staff of Physicians, Physician Assistants, Physical Therapists, Athletic Trainers, and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialists.
Athletes using Excelsior Sports Training benefit from the knowledge of all the medical professionals and depth of a full service training facility in Amherst, NY. Mr. Gambetta chose Excelsior because of our state of the art facility and the team and collaborative approach we utilize to train and rehabilitate athletes. Mr. Gambetta will be at the Excelsior facility to host the weekend seminar on Building and Rebuilding the Complete Athlete. The program will educate clinicians on how to facilitate a team approach to working with the complete athlete by fostering communication between the physician, physical therapist, athletic trainer, conditioning coach, sport coach and the athlete.
