Athletic Training and Education Services
At Excelsior Orthopaedics, we are passionate about ensuring that athletes of all ages and abilities in WNY stay safe and healthy while participating in the sports they love. We know that injuries can and do occur, but there are proactive steps that athletes and their coaches can take to minimize the risk. When an injury occurs, an athlete’s ability to bounce back often depends on the timing and quality of care he or she receives immediately following the injury. This is why our team of experts puts so much effort into reaching out to young athletes, parents and coaches in our community.
Athletic trainers are health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to optimize patient activity and participation in athletics, work and life. Athletic training encompasses the prevention, recognition, evaluation and intervention/reconditioning of emergency, acute, and chronic medical conditions involving impairment, functional limitations, and disabilities.
Excelsior’s team of outstanding Certified Athletic Trainers provides their expertise and services to a number of local high school teams. Our Athletic trainers work with our Physicians to prevent, evaluate, manage, and care for many different types of injuries. We are proud to do so for the following WNY High Schools:
- Alden High School
- Amherst High School
- Clarence High School
- Nardin Academy
- Starpoint High School
- St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute
- Sweet Home High School
- West Seneca East High School
- West Seneca West High School
- Williamsville East High School
- Williamsville North High School
- Williamsville South High School
We offer seminars, clinics and educational materials to athletes, their parents, coaches and athletic staff members.
When you rely on Excelsior Orthopaedics for this kind of support, you’ll enjoy all the benefits of our unique approach to athletic training and care.
