About Dr. Butler
Dr. Butler is a board certified, fellowship trained podiatrist. He enjoys treating a wide variety of foot issues and conditions. Dr. Butler values the process of educating his patients on the root of the problem and the treatment options available. He thinks of himself as a guide who goes the extra mile in advocating for your care.
Dr. Butler and his wife are both podiatrists. They have five daughters and eight grandchildren that keep them busy. They enjoy spending weekends with friends and family at their vacation home in Cattaraugus county. Dr. Butler enjoys golf, British humor, and has been a semi-professional guitar player over the years.
What do you wish more people understood about foot care?
“Most patients don’t perceive a problem until the complications have set in, like deformity or arthritis, so problems aren’t detected until middle age or older. If you feel there’s any problem at a young age, don’t dismiss it. People are often told they’ll outgrow it, and generally they don’t. When I see patients, I take the time to explain their foot type and what issues they may experience over time.”
What’s something people might not know about you?
“I play loud music. Typically British Blues or music from the ‘70s - Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath. I’ve played guitar since I was about 15. I’ve been a musician since I was 6 years old - I played piano and taught myself guitar. Music has always been a love of mine.”
