Meet Tiffany Card, Physician Assistant
Tiffany Card is a physician assistant who works with Dr. Callahan’s practice, specializing in hand and wrist care, as well as Excelsior Express. Her family is extremely important to her, and she strives to treat each patient as if they were part of her family, making sure they are comfortable and at ease. She and her husband have three kids and two German Shorthaired Pointers, both show dogs. Though most of her time is spent on activities with the kids, she does enjoy bird hunting with the dogs, and running a small family sewing business. She enjoys reading the Inheritance series of books by Christopher Paolini, and she speaks quite a bit of Russian after spending a summer in Ukraine when she was younger.
What drew you to a career as a physician assistant?
“As a child, I developed osteomyelitis in my femur. I spent a week in the hospital, and had to have home care for the next 2 months. I decided then that I wanted to work in medicine. As an adult, my cousin was a chairwoman at RIT, and suggested that I look into becoming a PA. The stars aligned and that’s where I ended up.”
