We’re committed to creating a judgement-free environment that makes healthy eating and living relaxed and fun. There are so many details in life that impact what we eat, how much we eat, why we eat. As an athlete, what and when you eat impacts your training and performance. Your first session will be a consultation, where we learn as much about you, your lifestyle and your goals as possible in order to offer the best possible nutrition and support plan.
What Can I Expect From My First Session?
What Will I Be Asked About At My Consultation?
An expert dietitian will consult with you to learn about your sport and position played, training and competition schedule, personal goals, any medical diagnosis or previous dieting history, weight history, medications and/or supplements you are taking, daily routines, activity levels., and current eating habits - including foods you like and foods you dislike. Time will also be spent to understand how and when you prepare meals and snacks, when and where you are grocery shopping, if you dine out, and details about any travel you do.
Who Can Benefit from Sports Performance Nutrition Services?
Individual athletes, referees or officials, teams, or organizations can all benefit from nutrition guidance. These services help you learn to strategize your nutrition plan around work or school schedules, as well as family demands and budgets. You’ll know how to fuel your body all day, every day with meals and snacks for optimal performance and recovery. Parents, significant others, and coaches are also great candidates, as athletes are often depending on family and coaching staff for grocery shopping, packing bags for travel, meal and snack preparation, and accountability.
Can I Schedule a Team Consultation?
Our sports performance nutrition expert is happy to conduct a team training or consultation, tailored to the needs of your team. Time will be spent reviewing benefits of nutrition for sport, as well as sport specific fueling strategies. Notes, recipes, shopping lists, and other resources are provided so each person leaves feeling like they have a game plan for nutrition. These sessions may include information on hydration, pre-workout nutrition, recovery nutrition, fueling during activity, and nutrition during travel.
