About Dr. Wheeler
Dr. Wheeler is a board certified, fellowship trained hand and upper extremity orthopaedic surgeon. His practice these days is non-surgical, but his 35 years of experience allows him to listen carefully to his patients’ needs, answer all your questions, and objectively recommend the most appropriate treatment plan.
As the son of a math teacher, Dr. Wheeler understands that knowledge is power. He has participated in Buffalo’s fellowship training program since its inception. He enjoys figuring out how each individual learns and processes information to help develop them into a highly successful upper extremity surgeon.
When he’s not working or solving complex math problems for sport, Dr. Wheeler spends a great deal of time outside. He is an avid long-distance runner and skier. He also keeps his hands busy by refinishing old wood furniture and taking on home remodeling projects.
