About Dr. Behr
Dr. Behr is a board certified, fellowship-trained physician in both pain management and physical medicine & rehabilitation. He understands how chronic pain can significantly impact a patient’s life. It’s why his focus is diagnosis, which helps identify the root of the problem to determine appropriate treatments that can bring much needed relief.
Dr. Behr believes in keeping the patient informed every step of the way. This close collaboration allows him to explore all possible options to find the right solution that will truly make life better for the patient.
When he’s not working, Dr. Behr enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. Having recently relocated back to Buffalo, they embrace all four seasons by hiking, fishing, biking and camping.
What drew you to pain management?
"There are a lot of misconceptions about pain management. But it challenges me to find out exactly what is wrong and then determine what I can do about it. It allows me to imagine the possible outcome for someone. I can see the difference it makes in people’s lives."
What is a quote that resonates with you?
"When Maya Angelou said, ‘People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.’ It feels appropriate for pain management because it is so important to understand the struggles someone else is going through in order to help them feel their very best.”
