About Dr. O’Leary
Dr. O’Leary is a board eligible, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon with a focus in shoulder, arm & elbow care. He takes great pride in developing treatment plans that put patients on the road to recovery. Whether it’s injections, physical therapy or reverse shoulder replacements, Dr. O’Leary gets to know a patient’s unique problem and determines a solution that will bring a high level of relief.
He believes in being patient with every patient. There are no rushed appointments, instead Dr. O’Leary gives everyone ample time to express all concerns to ensure he can deliver a solution that gets them back to everyday life as safely as possible.
When he’s not working, Dr. O’Leary enjoys spending time with his family - especially chasing around his two young sons. The family spends a lot of time outside hiking or exploring new parks. Dr. O’Leary grew up a New York Giants fan, but assures us he's rooting for the Buffalo Bills these days.
What is your favorite part of being an orthopaedic surgeon?
"The outcomes. I really like to see a patient between three and six months, and help them do whatever they want to do. Whether it’s a young person playing baseball again or an 85-year-old that just wanted to get a plate down from the cupboard. It's really rewarding to see them happy."
What is your favorite book?
"'When Breath Becomes Air' by Paul Kalanith. It’s about a neurosurgeon who is diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer after nearly completing his training. It provides inspiring perspective on just about everything."
