Holistic Management of the Injured Runner

Excelsior Orthopaedics is an approved provider to offer continuing education units (CEUs) through the APTA and the BOC. This course is approved for up to 7 Category A CEUs.

This course is for: Physical Therapists, Athletic Trainers, Certified Strength & Conditioning

Format: Live, in-person; didactic and break-out practical sessions

Following this course, participants will be able to:

1. Identify atypical presentations of common orthopaedic conditions specific to the runner

2. Effectively develop and implement multimodal treatment plans specific to athlete

3. Explain the benefits and indications for the use of diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound to aide in clinical decision making

4. Identify effective manual and soft tissue techniques for selected pathologies

5. Distinguish various exercise-related breathing problems and understand methodologies for testing

6. Incorporate mental health and nutrition considerations into evaluation & treatment plan
