Patient Education Seminar on Knee Pain with Dr. Andrew Stoeckl

At Excelsior Orthopaedics the safety and well-being of our patients & staff is our highest priority. We continue to actively monitor the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and comply with all social distancing requirements.

While we are not able to gather together in person to learn about the latest treatment options, we can still connect and help to educate the WNY community through video conferencing. Excelsior is proud to offer our 2020 Patient Education Seminar series utilizing video conferencing. See the Q & A below to learn how to participate.

How This Works – Common questions:

Q. How do I register to attend this virtual patient seminar?
A. Simply complete the reservation form below and click submit.

Q. How do I access the virtual patient seminar?
A. Our team will collect your email address and will send all who register a link to join the Zoom video conference. This link will be emailed out on the morning of the talk.

Q. I have never used a Zoom meeting, how do I use the meeting link?
A. On the day and time of the scheduled patient seminar, simply click on the Zoom meeting link we sent you via email and you will be admitted into the video conference.  If this is your first time using a Zoom meeting, we recommend you watch this brief video tutorial, which will walk you through the steps to join a meeting: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362193-How-Do-I-Join-A-Meeting-  We also recommend you login to the meeting about five minutes ahead of the planned meeting. We will begin promptly at 7pm. 

Q. Can I participate on my phone without a computer or smartphone?
A.Yes, the meeting invite will include a telephone number with a meeting ID and password. You can access the meeting on a phone and listen to the presentation.

Q. Will others in the meeting be able to hear me?
A. No, the host of the meeting will mute all guests.  This will ensure that the presenting physician is not interrupted by any background noise and all in attendance can hear the presentation.

Q. Will others in the meeting be able to see me?
A. You have the ability to turn on or off your video control from your computer or smartphone. We encourage everyone to utilize the video function if available on your home computer, smartphone or tablet.

Q. Will I be able to ask questions?
A. Yes, at the conclusion of the presentation you will be able to participate in a questions and answers session.  We will do our best to address all questions.

Excelsior Orthopaedics is proud to host a Meet the Surgeon and Patient Education Seminar featuring Dr. Andrew Stoeckl.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Our meet the surgeon and patient education seminars are designed to be collaborative and informational.  We will provide those in attendance with an opportunity to learn more about Knee pain caused by arthritis and treatment options including non-surgical and surgical options.  Dr. Stoeckl will talk in detail about what causes the pain, signs and symptoms, treatment options and will welcome questions from those in attendance.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Anyone who is currently struggling with Knee pain or we encourage the family and care takers of those who are struggling with this pain to also attend and learn more and be involved in the treatment.  We believe that education is power and this is a great opportunity to meet the surgeon, ask questions and learn!

WHY DO WE DO THIS:  Excelsior Orthopaedics is dedicated to patient education and actively looks to engage the WNY community.  This event offers our physicians an opportunity to present on relevant orthopaedic conditions and address common questions in a collaborative and informational setting.
