Meet Josette Fisher, Director of Sports Medicine & Wellness; PT, ATC, CSCS

Josie Fisher joined Excelsior Orthopaedics as an athletic trainer in 2004, and currently serves as the Director of Sports Medicine & Wellness. In addition to her athletic training certification, Josette is a certified physical therapist and a certified strength and conditioning specialist. She has over 20 years of experience working with athletes of all ages, helping them realize their full potential. Josie was a collegiate athlete herself, playing Division 1 softball at Canisius College. At Excelsior, the focus of Josette and her team is on patient-centered, functional rehab and manual therapy in the context of a fully integrated model – with strong collaboration between physicians, PAs, therapists and athletic trainers. She has also established strong pro-active injury prevention and sports performance training programs, particularly through Excelsior’s community outreach programs.
