As part of our commitment to offering support to athletes, coaches and the entire athletic community of WNY, Excelsior offers New York State Department of Education safety courses in CPR/AED and first aid. These are offered as both full initial certification courses as well as annual recertification classes. These classes help school coaches and personnel maintain the required safety certifications to work within the school district.
About NYSED Classes
Excelsior offers both initial certification courses and recertification classes (typically required annually) in both CPR/AED and first aid as required by NYSED. Please keep in mind that in order to sit for a recertification class, you must hold an ACTIVE certification. We are unable to give refunds to those who sit for the incorrect class and the coach/School District is responsible for maintaining the correct credentials per the State of New York. Payment is due prior to the start of the class, checks can be made payable to Excelsior Orthopaedics. We cannot accept cash payment. Excelsior reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any class at any time.
